Relax, no one is burning you in a hell

Suppressed Perspectives

Christians say that those who do not obey the Bible will burn forever. Revelation 21 verse 8 reads, “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

You will find Christians defending the existence of heaven while not noticing that they would not qualify to step into it even if it were there. The Bible clearly states that there is no smaller or bigger sin. Numbers 15 verses 32 to 36 talks about a man who was collecting firewood on the Sabbath. People saw him, apprehended him, and took him to Moses. Moses asked god what ought to be done to the man. God directed that he be taken to the city’s periphery and be stoned to death. And so they killed him. Even a sin as small as stealing your friend’s pen would get you to hell if at all the Bible means what it says. Why, then, would you defend the existence of heaven, yet even if it existed, you would not qualify for it?

The Bible states that the only way to get to heaven is through Jesus Christ. This means being born again, which involves a simple ritual called baptism. With that being the case, only a very small number would go to heaven. All Muslims would not make it to heaven as they openly disagree with the concept of Jesus Christ, and neither would Buddhists, among others. You would ask a Christian, “Don’t you have non-Christian friends, and don’t you think they are not going to convert? If so, then why would you think that they will burn while you rejoice?”

Nobody created you just to sing for them, and nobody intends to burn you. Do good without being pressured. Do good for your own satisfaction, not in the chase of an eternal life. If anything, why would you spend this beautiful life working hard to earn a second life? You do not know where your current life came from, yet you waste it thinking that there is a way of earning a second one. You do not need the Bible to give you the Ten Commandments. Even without them, you would know that stealing is bad, adultery is wrong, bearing false witness is wrong, and so is disrespecting your parents and so on. If you needed the Ten Commandments to desist from such, then you are the reason another human being had to convince you through lies so that you can try being better. Stop worrying about hell. If you are wicked you will face the consequences right here on earth. Be kind, loving, honest, merciful, and caring not because you have been told to be so but because it comes from your inner self, and that is who you are.
